Sure things are fine now. What happens when **** goes south for whatever reason (no matter who's fault it is) and someone says something that Floyd don't like. He can say "you know what, get the eff out and leave. You're not getting paid for the work you already did."

And you have ZERO recourse. There's no record of you ever having a deal with them. They can say "he was all paid up for what he did, now he's trying to rob me out of more money cause he's bitter."

smh at people believing this is some honorable thing. Whether it's Floyd or Manny or Sergio or Oscar or anyone. NEVER get involved in business on a handshake or gentleman's agreement or anything that doesn't involve words on a paper explicitly stating what you do and what you get.

Highly unnecessary rant. Floyd was simply pointing out that Cotto ripping through 3 trainers in three years shows a bit of a character flaw and that his team is loyal and strong.

Roger has made an estimated 20 million from training Floyd so if **** goes south, he will live.

 

Not saying it hasn't worked out with him and Roger. And I didn't say that if Roger gets **** canned he won't be alright financially. I merely pointed out that having a contract based on your word is ridiculous. Look at how unstable Floyd is with his relationships. One minute he's spewing vile at his father, next minute they are close, next minute he's calling him a ****** and threatening to beat his ass.

His emotions turn on a dime and is it that unreasonable to think that someone could say the wrong thing and he takes it personal and tell them to get the **** out? Then what are they going to do?

From HIS perspective, it's brilliant. It limits your responsibility. For anyone else who's going into business with him it's ridiculous and borders on being legally declared mentally disabled.

Well to be fair, Floyd's daddy has done some ****ed up **** towards him, including holding him up as a shield to avoid being shot during a drug deal or whatever.

I understand there's some bad blood there, but still...calling your own dad out like that on such a massive public stage is irresponsible and indefensible.
