I completely missed the fight. Did Kenny Egan win the Gold?

Nope...lost 11-7, and it sounded like a pretty bull**** decision too I'm afraid.

I love Chinese people but, damn the scoring for the Chinese was just plain awful.

I think the fight was a lot closer than the scoring said. Same thing with Zhang's bout against Bebertiev.

Guess Zhang should have lost his semifinal against Shynaliyev ... what a lucky gold winner.

It was completely bull****. I had it scored 19-13 in favor of Egan.

The scoring was off, yeah, but the Chinese guy just about edged it. The BBC commentary was so biased you would be forgiven for thinking some kind of robbery took place. It didn't.

i am sure most of his fights were similar in the russian fight, he looked like he didn't know how to box and did not anything...just hugged or feel to the ground...

    No, it was bull****.

He landed several left hands that were not counted.

Zhang was nothing special but he did indeed edge it by a point or so. Egan fought a terrible fight and seemed afraid to pull the trigger most of the fight. The taller chinese fighter could barely fight going backwards but Egan would just wait on him outside instead of pressing.

Other than Lomachenko and Sarsekbayev no other fighter impressed me. Perhaps an honorable mention to the italian Cammarelle for knocking out his opponents in dominant fashion but he's unlikely to go pro.
