I have been impressed with Brian Rose, he is a very good fighter who is developing at the right pace.

Good technical skills with great condition...hope he does well...:good

 

I just think the criteria Sky have of having British title fights (minimum, involving a British fighter) topping bills on their Fridays is fundamentally flawed. I count myself as a pretty big boxing fan and I don't give a **** about any of these five fights.

I like Napa and Lindsay but they're in mismatches (unless Dapa can't be arsed/is shot). I just yearn for the day there's a big man at the top who will turn down British title top of the bills if they aren't good enough fights the way HBO will world title fights if they dont think theyre up to scratch. Sky (with no competition) are in a great position to tell promoters to buck up but the low standard Maloney set with that Broadhurst-Haskins bill seems to be kept up at the start of this year.

 

To be fair the Haskins/Broadhurst fight on paper was a great fight.

I do like the idea with Sky that it has to be atleast a British/Commonwealth title fight to top their bill, and I'd rather have them pumping money into the domestic scene then anything abroad. That said I still think people like El Maachi deserve a chance.
