alright my bro isnt that good at boxing yet so in order for me to work on my defense i have him throw punches and i block and dodge them. he rarely hits me but i wear a mouthgaurd just in case. should i also buy a cheap headgear to wear aswell?

It's always a good idea to have at least one person wearing head gear, in case of an accidental headbutt.

Considering you posted in another thread that when you spar you throw punches as hard as you can, then yeah, you should probably get headgear.

I was assuming he'd get a set of headgear for him and his brother. Additionally, if he's being an arsehole sparring full power, his brother is more likely to return the same.

when i train at my gym we don't use headgear, yes we do it hard also. However when your coming up to a fight i suggest you do wear one, not to protect yourself but to get use to it. In a fight you will need to wear one so train with it and learn to fight with it.
    hope that helps.

We usually spar without headgear as well, except right before a fight, or if the person prefers so wear one. I hate headgear to be honest, I can't see a thing if I wear it, my defense goes to ****. As long as I don't spar guys who are much bigger it doesn't bother me.
