Lightweight Tournement

If Marquez move up in weight, how about a new tournement to crown a lineal champion.

Top Rank and Goldenboy control the lightweight division currently.

GBP have Michael Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Roberto Guerrero and Jorge Linares.

Top Rank have Humberto Soto (WBC), Miguel Vasquez (IBF) and Brandon Rios. Add Miguel Acosta the WBA regular champ to there mix.

Then have 2 HBO Boxing After Dark Shows.

Katsidis vs Guerrero (vacant WBO title)
Diaz vs Linares

and

Soto vs Rios (WBC)
Acosta vs Vasquez (WBA/IBF)

The winners then fight eachother on World Championship Boxing shows and the finalists clash in a co-promoted PPV.

If only.

No idea, Arum mentioned Rios getting a shot at the winner a while back and Dan Rafael confirmed the date, venue and network yesterday.

Schaefer was on about Murray-Khan the other day, says Khan's next fight will be in England and potential opponents are Guzman, Katsidis and Murray. He reckons Murray-Khan will sell out the MEN.

Mick needs to sort things out for Murray.
