    Just heard from Australia that Lionel Rose has passed away. So sorry to hear this, my heart and thoughts are with Jenny and Lionels family.
    RIP Champ.

    Thanks for the link.Very sad news for all the Aussie fight fans and for Lionels family.
    Lionel was an inspiration for a lot of Aussie boxers.

    Really sad, they kept in touch over the years and met up a couple of years ago in Australia.
    Here's a message we recorded for Lionel on his induction to legendary status by the Australian boxing hall of fame. Dad died only 3 days after this.
