This is truly a 5 star match up...i just cannot wait... I am a huge fan of both and there are so many questions about styles and the weight and age etc...i just hope it lives up ,i cannot see how it wont... Rigo looks very good value at bookies,probably for a reason!! what do you reckon?
I reckon I'll stay up to watch it live. But then I usually stay up for the US fights, so that's not saying much. I was revisiting Norris-Curry earlier - way more skill on display between those guys than between this pair of show ponies, but we aren't living in an era of strength in depth in boxing, so I'll take what I can get.
You're one of those back in the day people that has to have an obscure opinion in an attempt sound knowledgeable. If you don't rank these two as two of the most skilled to ever step inside the ring then you're watching the wrong sport. Personally I think this is the most talent ever to share a ring
I have an inkling that Rigo could knick a decision, but my head says Loma. I think this will be extremely close and will be a classic and go the full 12.
Really excited about this fight. I’ll be setting my alarm for it. Listened to Buncey yap on about Lomachenko in the podcast, about how he did ballet and gymnastics as a template before training him to box. I loved how in his last fight he put Marriaga on his backside then beckoned him over to the corner to let him try and hit him. Absolute class. Rigo is an exceptional fighter and he could nick it, but my head says that there’s too much disadvantage with weight. Two modern all time greats.
What a match up! This is the Champion's League Final of boxing, really excited for it! As for the fight itself, I can't look past Loma. Rigo is getting old now, moving up two weights and has been criminally inactive. I think Loma on points, by a comfortable margin, having outworked Rigo the whole fight.
when you listen to Lomas pro record it is staggering... 2 weight world champion in 7 fights!!! But the manner of the wins is the most impressive thing imo,the way he made Walters quit!unreal.. BUT,with a bit of a reach advantage i think Rigo might just be able to keep Loma off him and maybe just test him with his heavy hands.... 22/1 the draw

Rigo totally out of his depth in there last night - he knew it and the crowd knew it. Don't know what was the worst performance last night Rigo or DeGale - probably Rigo as at least DeGale dug in and tried even though he had a shocker.

Loma is surely a freak of nature he makes everyone quit . To push an elite fighter To the point of quitting is ridiculous . You could throw sand at loma and miss Do you what annoys me post fight. When people say x didn't try .. it wasn't x it was his opponents lack of trying .. What? Are people that thick? If you elite opponent No Mas it' nothing to do with lack of trying it's pure mental fatigue. He let Rigo throw for first 3 rds and he didn' land one punch. Then stuck to him like a limpet. Switching angles every second . How can you beat that?
Loma is my favourite fighter at the moment. Landing on him is like nailing down water. He didn’t even have to hurt Rigo last night, he just completely broke his spirit instead with pure class.
