    Loma wins this.

I mean he has the skills and IQ that Pacquiao lacks. Styles makes fight Loma is too slick for Marquez.

As Pipo says, styles make fights. JMM is a much friendlier styles matchup for him than Pac. Lomas the clear favorite here for me.

Results highly dependent on JMM's loading of PEDS per Memo Heredia's Formula....

    I disagree here...

JMM would be throwing right with Loma all night, even if he was losing the exchanges, and he would certainly be the heaviest hitter Loma has faced... Tough one to pick for me.

If Linares could catch him, so could JMM... but JMM is a bit more lethal than Linares...

Loma will obviously win. Simply because of one single main reason that others here have stated, style makes fights. I have seen JMM fighting for years, and as an admirer of him, I'd say skilled counter-attacking style technician with good movement are the ones who troubled him the most. He had nightmare when he fought Floyd and Chris John. He would be in so much trouble against Loma's footwork and spacing ability.

    Yeah I says 50/50

But I can see the logic of everyone thinking loma would possibly overwhelm Marquez.

At Featherweight or Super, Loma embarrasses JMM. He gives him a thorough boxing lesson and dominates him. JMM got on the pharma program and grew into a bigger guy. At LW or above, it’s a closer fight but I still like Loma. JMM top conventional and easy for Loma to solve. I wish Loma came up when boxers were allowed to take PEDs like the guys in JMMs era, including JMM. If they are both tested, clean, and no PEDs in the picture, it’s not even close.

No one is embarrassing Marquez at featherweight.

I would say that prime Linares is by some measure faster than JMM. Marquez, however, has the edge in punch selection and placement.

Loma was fighting with a very serious shoulder injury from round 2 onward against Linares and generally you pair up the best versions of two fighters with each other when you discuss hypothetical match ups, not a 100% one vs one who's injured.
