I understand what you're saying, I just believe he became a much better boxer after losing to Floyd. Canelo was young and smart enough to learn from that schooling he received for 12 long rounds.

Smart young fighters learn from losing and make changes to their style and/or game plan. I saw it with SRL and MAB. Like Canelo, they all were young fighters and hadn't yet peaked and were able to transform/increase their ring IQ. All 3 were much better or more well rounded fighters by the time they had peaked, in my opinion.
