I've not seen a lot mentioned on this fight, or even the card! With the fight just around the corner, what are your predictions?
Im going for a points win for Campbell, I wouldn't be surprised if we see both men taking a count either, but yeah Campbell for me.
I really believe that Loma-Campbell is gonna be close either way. I fancy Campbell, 7-5 on points and I think it's going to be controversial. I've also just seen Povetkin at the weigh-in on youtube, he looks dangerous. I always thought Povetkin would cause major problems for Tyson Fury. Hughie is basically Tyson without the height and reach, and that makes him far more vulnerable. As much as I like Hughie, he's going to need to be aggressive to beat Povetkin, he's going to need to be a proper gypsy and gamble on a KO or be KO'd strategy. This is like Hughie vs Parker, except that the version of Parker he's facing has a killer punch and has a much better boxing brain as well as far more experience. He struggled to land clean properly against Parker, and he'll find that more difficult against Povetkin who likes to use angles more so than Parker. Unlike Parker, Povetkin can hold his own in the 12 round stakes as well, and that's why I see Hughie struggling. Thinking Povetkin knocks him down early, but Hughie rallies late on. Won't be enough though and Povetkin will take enough rounds, predicting 8-4 on points for Povetkin.
Lomachenko to win via UD around 8-4 in a thrilling fight. I expect Lomachenko to drop Campbell but for Campbell to be competitive in some of the rounds. Hughie Fury to beat Povetkin via UD around 7-5. I expect Povetkin to find the button in the early rounds, but then for Hughie to win the majority of the rounds from 6-12
I’ve seen nothing from Campbell to suggest him getting anywhere near loma and The only reason why people are even discussing him the same breath of loma Is because of Eddie Hearn hyping up the fight what This is kell brook - triple g all over again.
It’s not at all. It’s a very good fighter in Luke Campbell taking a mandatory title shot against an elite contender unfortunately for Luke. Lomachenko destroys everyone in the division, after already conquering the two divisions below. Brook vs GGG was a simple cash out, jumping up to a division he had no right being in against a fighter he had no right fighting, purely for financial reasons.
Not sure if Campbell can see the final bell if I had to put money on it I fancy Lomo to stop him in the late rounds.
