    not a certainty...but here's the info anyway...

    Source : Tatame Magazine

The champion of Art of War, Pedro Rizzo, traveled yesterday to Holland to help his friend Peter Aerts for the K-1 GP. He also traveled with the objective of sharpening his striking for a possible fight with Fedor Emelianenko. "Yes, we did recieved an offer to fight Fedor, but it is too soon to talk about it" said the (famous) manager Joinha.

Now , personally i don't care that much about this particular fight...
    but at the same time...
Rizzo recently defeated the guy who was supposed to be a "challenge" for emelianenko...(I'm talking about Monson of course )...

    So why not right ?...

ps: barnett vs fedor would be perfect though..

This could be intriguing as Rizzo is coming off a big KO win over Monson and always has a good strikers chance. Fedor KOs him none the less.

Looks like Fedor is trying to do his best Joe Louis impersonation with his own Bum of the month club!

Your right, I was thinking of Ricco Rodriguez that Ko'd Couture.

Bum of the month club? Couture beat Rizzo twice. Why did he fight the 'bum' twice?

Rizzo's beaten Eilers and Monson this year, it's an okay fight. Not a guy who'll add a lot to the resume but not a bum. Fedor should win fairly easily but after a period of inactivity it's a good idea to have a tune up.

rizzo's first fight vs couture was very close too close....
(personally i thought rizzo should've won an UD)...

however , couture did great in their rematch

Yeah, the difference is that, that was 6 six years ago, over half a decade ago and when Rizzo was young and in his prime. (More dangerous than he now anyway)

Fedor will likely get him down and give him an armbar. I don't think this K1 is going to do as good as they think. Are alot of people really going to pay to see Fedor beat up wash up's and has beens? They payed him alot of money, I'm not sure it's going to pay off.

Why are people taling **** about Rizzo? After looking at his record, he has:

    Decision- Mark Coleman
    KO- Josh Barnett
Decision- Ricco Rodriguez. ( Who I always confuse for him)
    KO- Ardrei Arlovski
KO- Jeff Monson in his last fight.
Apparently as some one else posted, Rizzo may of lost a controversial decision to Couture as well.

Coleman, Barnett, Rodriguez, and Arlovski are 4 former UFC HeavyWeight Champions of the World that Rizzo has defeated!!

Yes, Rizzo used to be one of the greatest HW's in the world, so did Mark Kerr, I don't see either of them as being contenders at the moment however.

Rizzo already lost to Fedor's inferior ex-teammate in Sergei, and inferior current teammate in brutal fashion in Zentzov. The Monson fight was basically Monson having a lobotomy and trying to be a standup fighter. Monson vs Fedor would be a much more challenging match.
