    Mab recently won over a BUM. Current record of the bum stands at 25 wins 20 losses.

    He wants a comeback and needs another tune up fight before his dream fight with JMM. Valera is a guy who DESPERATELY wants recognition and respect.

    Aging Mab vs Valera who wins?!

    To be honest I'm not even sure if Valero CAN beat Barrera. Though this guy wasn't anywhere near Valero's level, Barrera's last fight before this was a PTS loss to Juan Manuel Marquez. I haven't seen anything that suggests Valero could do that.

    Maybe Valero WILL be better at LW....but to be honest I even think his power's overrated.

    I sure like Valero but MAB, even at his age, can still beat the crap out of him. Maybe even knock him out.

    Thank you very much. Valero had trouble with Mosquera.

    That was a GREAT fight! Mosquera was the reigning champ and a true bad azz!

    Valero would ice MAB...Edwin reminds me of PAC a little, but with greater boxing skill. You tube his sparring with the Santa Cruz bros

    Exactly the point.

    I would lean more anyday of the week on the past his prime but tried and tested Barrera than with someone whose career was built from fighting bums and whose reputation was based on his sparring sessions with Morales and the Sta. Cruz bros.

    Valero since he is the fresher fighter and Barrera is shot as hell.

    How about;
    Jesus Chavez? 44 (30)- 4(2) and #11 WBC, former WBC Super Featherwight and IBF Lightweight champion

    quite a big name has a similar record to Barrera and is around the same age

    Sorry you're right....still, he didn't look AWFUL in that fight. Looked like he was trying to survive at points but to be honest, Valero just swings wildly....Barrera will counter him all night.
