I t happens sometimes that I don't visit this site for a few days. Nor do I follow the news in boxing. It happened again recently. Today, just a short while ago, I was saddened to learn that Mac Foster passed away on the 19th of July, last.

Has this topic been posted here while i was out of touch.

I have always felt that if Mac Foster hadn't met Jerry Quarry and come straight at Frazier, he would have had a good chance at upsetting Joe. What do you think?

    Anyway, RIP - MacArthur Foster.

Yes, Mac would have a shot for the upset.

Yes I agree that he would have had a chance against Joe here also. Jerry stayed just outside Mac's hard jab while he waited for an opening so he avoided his powerful right hand but Joe would have been right in front of him and as Jimmy Ellis said, "Joe isn't to hard to hit".

Mac would've had a shot at beating Frazier, as well as Shavers and possibly Ellis and Patterson.
