No becasue he is WBO champion so he is not in the other rankings. So he is going to have to wait them to have a fight between the number 1 and 2 and then wait for them to have a mandatory so it would be at least a year before Macca fought for those belts. Plus Warren will not put him in with anyone decent so it doesn't matter.
"Anyone decent" ... like who at cruiserweight? You watch Macca drop the WBO strap for a title shot if Haye vacates, quicker than a rat out of a drain pipe... at a guess it'll be with the WBA. Macca has singed a contract twice to fight Haye, only for terms not to have been agreed between the promotional parties. I think the **** he gets on here is quite harsh.
Lets see. Cunningham, Mormeck, Bell, Adameck, Wilson (who Macca blatendly ducked), Other polish boxer with an unpronouncable name, Huck, Tokarev etc. ****, any of those guys would do. Macca deserves all the stick that he gets.

As it happens I'd give Wilson a punchers chance although his height and lack of reach may prove his downfall. Adamek - No chance his team would take the fight before he's bedded into the weight... he's fighting Bobby Gunn next you know. Poliosh unpronouncable guy (Woldarzykk) - been mandated to rematch Cunningham for IBF since their SD Huck - he wouldnt come here, Enzo wouldnt go there - both sell too many tickets "at home" - sticking point. Torkaev - as above, although would be a good opponent, especially since his loss to huck, isnt the draw he was in eastern europe and doesnt have a big fan base in germany. hayes only bloody fought one decent (albeit old) opponent, really. Briathwaite was a good opponent. Better than anyone Haye fought bar Mormeck. Macca was also signed to fight Nelson before NELSON pulled out. Dominguez was good too.
I just doubt this'll happen...I expect Haye to move up to HW, and Enzo to pretend this means he's terrified of him.
Oh yes, an excuse not to fight anyone in the top 10. Maybe if Haye fight does not work out Macca can give fearsome Bobby 'Machine' Gunn a rematch. When Grandpa Sellers was rejected as an opponent by the BBBC, Wilson publicaly stated that he is willing to go to UK, fight Macca for peanuts and give Warren options. If Wilson is so crap as you point out, then why wouldnt Macca fight him then? Instead he chose to fight another no name opponent.
What? Prime Thompson, yes. Not the version that fought Haye. Thompson wasnt all that when he ofught Haye, David simply gassed himself out going for big shots. He dominated the fight, but gassed. Wayne wouldve been able to outwork the cat and sustain educated pressure to win a UD. Fragomeni doesnt beat him either, what fight have you seen that suggested he does? Briathwaite was top 2 cruiser till Mormeck outpointed him. I gave mormeck the fight by 3 rounds, and thats a better verison of Mormeck than Haye fought (admitedly a better verison of Wayne than Macca foguht too). For the person who mentioned the fearsome Gunn, Adamek is fighting him next...
The thing is people always ask questions about Hayes chin, but Macceranelli got knocked out by Swaby and down by Hobson, hardly big punchers!
