Let us talk about Hector "Macho" Camacho. One of my favorite fighters of all time. I think he has one of the best jabs in history not including his tremendous speed. Many people call him boring but for me its boxing at its best. How would he do against the current and past great light welterweight champions. How would he fair against pretty boy floyd, or kostya tsyzu, aaron pryor, alexis arguello. Any insight would be great. I think personally he could be them even if he lost to some of the greats like Tito, golden boy, and JCC.

That's okay I don't mind you opened up another opportunity for me to talk about him for I have plenty to say. I believe Hector is starting to get more respect now because of the way some people like myself have boldly stood up for him. It was easy because the truth will always win out over false rumours anyday. There is a good article on him in Wikipedia that goes over his background and how he got started. LAXPDX is the one who directed me to it. Hector at 130 was like Captain Mar-vell. He was everywhere at once. His hands were at times too quick to follow including his opponents. And he displayed the best right jab outside of Hagler whose opponent once required 55 stitches because of it. If you see the way he opened up on Loy at the start of round two and Coverson sending them helplessly to the deck, he just had too much weaponry for world class conventional fighters. From the Wikipedia article I saw that he made a challenge to Sanchez and Pedroza. I would have loved to have seen that. I don't know about Sanchez but I feel he would have ripped apart guys like Pedroza and Chacon. Guys like Whitaker wouldn't have stood a chance either. He just wasn't fast enough for him. Did you see how Howard Davis fared against him? Everyone thought Hector was through as a fighter but he proeved them all wrong. Hector was in peak form as he dominated throughout. There was no way the speedster could lay a glove on him. Howard was totally out of his league!!! It's a shame he didnt take care of himself, he could have done so much more but still, 3 world championships and beating 11 world champions isnt bad.
Wait, Whitaker? Didn't a fresh out of the Olympics Whitaker made Hector look like an ass in sparring?
