Magomed Abdusalamov has a blood clot and is currently in hospital.

Magomed took a turn for the worse earlier today, so he's now in a doctor-induced coma now.

Once again we have a promising fighter that hits a ton and the incompetent trainers fall in love with that power and forget to teach the fighter basic defensive skills. The question I always ask Is, what happens when a puncher can't KO his opponent, can they adapt and win on points or do they just keep trying to land the big shot. From what I've seen, they don't adapt and get beat, sometimes badly. Trainers need to step up and teach these warriors good defense!

If this is true, me and my boy were watching the fight and I was screaming stop the fight. Damn. I hope Ab recovers. He too some terrific punishment. Perez did too.

The corner should have stopped the fight, he was taking too many flush punches. Mago was out on his feet in the 10th, but too courageous to go down.

People complain about the Stevens' RTD, but his corner acted responsibly, while Mago's did not.

Awful news. I was nervous when I heard about hi having a blood clot on his brain, despite it being described as "minor". Hope he can make a full recovery and never sets foot in the ring again.

His corner should have stopped it sooner - a fighters corner should never be as brave as he is.

Shocking. This was an medically induced condition, one designed to keep him from getting worse. Let's all wish him the very best for a speedy recovery.
