No... it's pretty much medical standard to use such a procedure for anyone who has had any kind of brain injury. Can be used just for brain swelling as well.. which all boxers will get after a 12 round fight especially so for a heavyweight... Him having a 'small' blood clot was not a good sign... the induced coma is irrelevant.
Damn. I thought it odd they talked about a bloodclot and brain surgery and called it a minor procedure. Hopefully it is completely under control and Mago is able to bounce back and live a healthy, normal life.
DAM and HBO was all gloating about how great this fight was . sure it was for entertainment but next time they should think before bashing the Boxers who apply the hit and not get hit style
