    When is this guy turning pro or has he already ? also is his surname Medzhidov or Majidov ? gonna be a big deal but is gonna need a nickname thats easier to pronounce than his actual name

    Who knows if he is gonna do it.

    He's fighting i nthe AIBA Pro Boxing thing and making money while keeping his amaeur status.

    He would have turned pro me thinks if he really wanted.I think he''ll be going for a meedal at Rio.

    When will we see the top Eastern European fighters turning pro at a younger age?

    From what I gather he definitely plans on going for gold in Rio.

    He said he was considering it but went the AIBA route so that he could compete in the Olympics.

    By the time he is done there he will be 30, so it is pretty much then or not at all.

    Hope he takes the leap.

    Mostly after the Olympics the top amateurs turn pro.
    So if he becomes pro it will be in 2016.
