Refs usually let fighters clinch for at least 5-10 seconds before they intervene. Cortez jumped in as soon as the fighters made contact. it interrupted the flow of the fight and gave Khan an advantage when he was on the verge of being stopped.

Yeah he should have but he wasn't because Maidana didn't know what to do and got tired his self. Then he had the entire first minute of the 11th where Khan is still dazed and he's just stalking throwing nothing. Fact is, Maidana is a dirty fighting, a disgrace and a sore loser. Will always be glad to see someone like that lose.
