Maidana is so open though and hes been put down enough times i see it as a case of who lands the first meaningful punch( or punches in katsidis case)
Maidana by KO. As LHL said, Maidana's power would take everything Katsidis has, away. It wouldn't be a war and I wouldn't really see Katsidis putting Maidana down at all. Ortiz (who is a big puncher) could only put Maidana down with punches he couldn't see and they were right on the chin but Maidana got right back up and wasn't hurt at all by them. It would be a terrible fight for Kats.
Maidana can be hurt tho Kats might get him to the body with the left hook and his work rate could trouble Marcos because he doesnt have much in the way of defence. Problem is with Katsides is he can be such a one handed fighter that right hand is powder puff when he trys to cramp his opponent for room hes almost too side on. At somepoint Maidana is gunna land big but it would be fun while it last no doubt
Two hard hitting pressure fighters with open defences, questionable punch resistance and high work rates. It doesn't matter if it lasted ten rounds or one minute, it would be a war while it lasted.

Totally agree. Kats doesn't get sparked. Maidana hardly has Marquez accuracy. Kats falls apart towards end of fights because of the accumulation of punishment. Not saying Maidana wouldn't win Laz but to say it would be a war is bit silly. Kats would step right to him and Maidana would love that. Both guys would indulge in warfare! :bbb
