katsidis too tough for this guy. maidana would get beat up. but it would be entertaining while it lasted.
Maidana would destroy Katsidis in 2 or 3 rounds. Katsidis isn't all that good like what FINITO said he is a tough fighter, but he is a journeyman fighter.
Maidana probably scores a ko. If Katsidis had trouble dealing with Casa's power early in their fight then would I tend to favor the naturally bigger Maidana.
It would be mad fun whilst it lasts..I struggle to see how Katsidas wins it though..He is exactly the kind of fighter Maidana's style chews up.
i like michael. he's a genuinely nice guy, but a maidana/torres/urango would be a bad matchup for him.
Katsidis is a little more polished technically than Maidana, but then again so was Ortiz. Anyway, I really don't see much of a chance here for Michael to win this.. he doesn't have the chin nor does he have the power to really get Maidana off of him. You combine all that with the fact that with his style he'll be running directly into Maidana's punches and he's a gonner for sure. Maidana by 4th or 5th round KO.

Did you see Katsidis on ***** street against Casamayor, who is far from a power puncher? Or his struggles against Chavez? Maidana would lay him out cold. Bigger, stronger, and will be more than willing to slug it out with him. Why are people bringing up Casamayor and Juan Diaz? What about them? Katsidis lost to both guys! So what if Katsidis has fought the better competition? Casa and feather-fisted Juan Diaz don't have the power of Maidana. Some would even argue fighting a young undefeated power-puncher in Ortiz and a tough boxer and champion in Kotelnik is better than fighting the aging/shot Casa and overrated Diaz.. neither guys were champs when Katsidis fought them btw.. Kotelnik is a champ..
