One of the most idiotic things in boxing is guys losing 10 kilo's or more to make weight. Like 25 to 30 pounds. Haney, Garcia, Tszyu, Liam Wilson plus many more who lose so much weight. It's stupid. Volkanovski lost 13 kilos in 10 days to fight Islam for his 2nd fight I believe. It's too unhealthy. Guys weighing 10 kilos the next day after weigh in. I literally couldn't do it.

What's the most weight you heard of guys losing and also what's the most you've heard them weighing the day after a weigh in?

It's been known for years that if you lose 30 pounds, your dong gets one inch longer. That is science.

Not acceptable in modern regulated sport in my opinion

The problem is many non HWs are trying to cut to the lowest weight class they can make because thats where they have the best chances of being successful. They aren't fighting at their natural weight they are pushing the limits of how thin they can be.

I don't like tweener divisions but one of the benefits of them is you have a weight class every few pounds. Every smaller boxer should have multiple classes they should be able to make weight without doing this.

Weight classes were made with the intent of preventing HWs from killing smaller people. And also fairness. They were not made with the weight cut process in mind.

It's ridiculous. Going in saunas and blankets and all sorts they can barely talk when they're doing it.

    No sympathy really.
It’s not like anyone’s forcing them. If they want to go to extreme lengths to try to gain an edge then have to accept the consequences

There has to be a major trade-off in being weight drained and exhausted during the fight vs being a the "Smaller man." I think Crawford may have proved that draining is overrated.
