What are everybody's opinion on Paulie's commentary? I for one enjoy his commentary and think it is evident how knowledgable he is about boxing.
Better than watt. Watt and galling seem to suck up to sky fighters way too much, thought Paul smith was ok too tbh. Would love a trio of paulie, smith and Ian drake.
Somebody should swat this boring yank fooker with a paper. Why was his fight a stinker? Why did he not look good against a mediocre opponent? Why does he not practice what he preaches? Fook off USA's Bradley Skeete and never come back.
Think he is a great addition to the commentary team, definitely my favourite commentator that appears on Sky, I certainly prefer listening to him commentate than I do watching his fights, hope he stays in the box on Sky.
Ian Darke is a huge miss on sky sports, I used to like Jim Watt but recently I've found him really annoying. Can't figure out why
When the Campbell fight finished, before the scores were read, Paul Smith said he hoped the judges scored the fight wrong. He was actually saying on live TV that he hoped Mendy got robbed. I thought that was shocking.
He's alright, but I think just like Halling, he gets brain washed by the Jim Watt scorecards. He needs to tell Jim he can't score fights for ****
Malinaggi was talking alot because he had just boxed and his endorphins and adrenaline would of been on overtime.
Pauli was good and put up with Watts drivel courteously. Good addition IMO. Hopefully we'll see Watt shown the door soon. JW has had a good run and annoyed people for years going back to his itv days. I agree about Ian Darke, easily the best commentator about and a big loss for SKY.
I think he is clever as he has seen a niche for himself in the UK, an American who is knowledgeable and respectful of the UK fight game will always be popular, especially as fighter who has been respected for his heart and intelligence. I for one would much prefer to hear him commentate and be a pundit than some of the old pale dinosaurs.
