Just looking at this card, a couple interesting fights;

Cash vs Cullen is very well matched

Ashfaq vs Ham is a solid test

But my word the rest is absolute dross. Any idea how many this has sold? Cannot imagine many.

 

Less than 5k I’d imagine. The selling point is Crollas last dance but he’s fighting a car washer, so literally no point of it.

If it had no Crolla it probably would have been pulled.

 

I thought that to be honest. It would be an ok NextGen card.

Cannot really can his farewell

 

Surely could have got a few more on the card. I get buatsi dropped out but the Kelly vs Robinson rematch for instance would have made this a decent Saturday fight night.

they have stuck Bakole in with Hernandez who is durable and no name value. Surely could have got Spilzka in for another KO

 

I won’t be watching on Saturday. I’ll be doing something else and then tuning in for Kovalev v Canelo in the early hours.

 

If this is really a last dance for Crolla, why fight for a meaningless WBA trinket? He'll be back.

 

Going to swerve this, it's garbage. Thank God they bagged the Canelo fight.

And a clearly purchased result followed on with absolute gushing from the Sky team. Sign me up.

 

Mate the gushing is going to be unbearable on Saturday. The love in melodramatic farewell for Anthony “but he’s such a nice guy” Crolla with Adam Smith reminding us a million times that he was hit on the head with a concrete slab, and then the love in for Taylor, completely glossing over the fact that Persoon was robbed of a big win.

Tbf I might actually have a look out for the Taylor fight just to see Linardatou’s manager Brian Cohen punk out Hearn again.
