I just watched the Pacquiao Hatton fight again and i'm just amazed at Pacquiao. I've seen Ricky fight before and he is a very good mauler boxer. He doesn't like it when his opponent are always running and mostly on the defensive. Well forget that, this Pacquiao guy was there to fight with him. I mean he gave Ricky chances to do his thing and Ricky was just outclassed. I'm sure Ricky has to be shocked. He knows that Pacquiao is good but not that good. He was taking shot from everywhere. When he got hit if he didn't tied Pacquiao up there was just leather flying everywhere. Mannnn....Everytime Ricky was going in he was getting smacked. If he didn't go in Pacquiao was coming. I mean there was no where to hide. To be the top guy at your weight and have somebody come from a lower weight and do that to you is shcoking. Peoples will not notice it yet but 10-20 years from now Pacquiao will mention in the same sentecne with Leonard and Duran.
the reason i have been raving about pac for a long time. there is no fighter pac. he has the natural ability but the ferocity of a duran. amazing
Manny has definitely earned his pound for pound stripes but his last two fights have been anything but competitive. A weight drained Oscar just stood there like a statue and Hatton didn't even bother to defend or move his head and lunged forward with his chin up and arms low. I am looking forward to a much better outing for Manny in the future because this inactivity in the ring must be killing him. Let's hope Cotto prevails in his next fight and faces Manny whilst he is still on the rise.
Whatever people say about Hatton, nobody expected Pac to just annihilate him like he did, an incredible achievement, and I say that as a Brit who was rooting for Hatton. It's a priviledge to watch a performance like that.
LOL you swear like Hatton always had his hands up and move his head when he fight. Hatton has always been fighting the same way ever since i've seen him fight. He just bull rush and over power his opponents and ko them. Other than Floyd he has given everybody else a fight. Heck he even gave Floyd a fight until the second half of the fight. It was just a different story with Pac. Mannn...I know Ricky has to be shocked. I'm sure there will be time when he is just sitting somewhere and he'll see flashback of Pacquiao glove flying by his face. The one that missed but he is sure glad it didn't landed. The sounds of the crowds yelling and the shot that took him out. I don't think Ricky will even think about a rematch. Most champions when they lose will tell themselve that maybe they can do better in a rematch. I don't think Ricky will even think about it.
Agree! I was pretty shocked. Although I knew he had the speed and skill advantage, I felt either Hatton might be too strong for Pacquiao as I wasn't sure how much Oscar had in their fight, or I felt Pac might win in the late rounds down to accumulation. To have Hatton hanging on in round 1, and ending it in round 2 was shocking! Great performance though.
