it wasn't so long ago bob arum was spouting off about not mentioning negotiations in public and that's all he's been doin. floyds head trainer has this court case coming up and would be stupid to sign anything before he knows whether his trsiner will be in jail. its been a little over 2 months since floyd fought and these guys usually only fight twice every 3 years or so as it is

as for the resumes of either fighter there are as many faults in one record as the other. manny had some good wins against the mexican trio but they were not in their primes either nor did he beat jmm in either of those fights imo. floyd

check fight will happen earlyish next year imo and floyd takes a very easy points win imo. pac is great agsinst strong fighters as he himself is strong but floyd will pick him off with his superior skills.

 

You're allowing your hate to cloud your judgement. People on here will attest to how highly rate Mosley, but his sole contribution to that fight was the two rights he landed - after that he looked spent. You also seem to be underestimating Pac's boxing ability and recuperative powers.

Yes, he would be hurt if he copped those shots, but it's likely he would recover. Plus, did you see the way Shane was fighting against Floyd? He'd get punished for standing there with his hands down like that. There would be an element of risk for Pac, early in the fight, but Pac beats this version of Shane pretty comfortably.

 

You're wasting your time, stylistic analysis is beyond this guy.

 

I just think Shane got dis-heartened in the Floyd fight after round 2 but with Manny I dont think this would happen, Manny is a lot more open and would stand and trade with Shane.

Therefore Shane would have a lot more success in finding Manny, I think a Mosley v Manny fight would be like Mosley v Magarito but just not as destructive win for Mosley.

If they ever fought, Mosley UD or SD for me.

EDIT: Also I have never said Manny Pacquiao is a bad fighter.

 

How was Floyd playing the 14 day thing fair play? If you weren't taking PED's and someone made that demand,you'd be pretty pissed off as well.

Why would you get disheartened after rocking a guy heavily twice? If anything you would be buzzing with confidence. Shane was a spent force after round 2. That was all he offered. There is a difference between a fighter that is beaten but still has energy than a fighter who is knackered, which Shane was.

I don't think Shane would be able to sit down on his punches as much with Pac anyway. Floyd decided to fight flat footed with Shane (part of the reason Shane was able to catch him so flush), I don't think Pac would.

Pac would be buzzing in and out, creating and then throwing from various angles. This would prevent Shane from being able to set himself as easily and generate power - his timing would have to be spot on.

I think Pac keeps moving and 'turning' Shane as he did Oscar, not letting him set and then get off quickly when Shane throws. Shane obviously has the power to hurt Pac early, but I see him tiring and getting hit more and more often as the fight goes on, as he did against Floyd.

Dis-heartened??? After giving Floyd the worst round of his professional career??!!

The fact he couldn't build on that shows he had nothing left. Now nothing left after only two rounds,Pac would knock Mosley out.
Mosley has a punchers chance and thats it.

Well I disagree, if you only land two or three clean shots on someone in two or three rounds, it will dishearten you.

If any fighter other than Floyd would have been in the ring with Shane Mosley on May 1st, he wouldn't have looked '' tired '' as you lot put it.

He didnt look tired when he smashed the walking punchbag Magarito 16 month earlier probably because he knew he could land at will and wouldnt be dis-heartened.

Mosley will have known after round 2, Mayweather would go into a more defensive mode and wouldnt stand a trade with him like he did in the first 2 rounds, Mayweather would have been stupid to do so.
