Yea thats because Jerry couldn't but Quarry did not have what Marciano had inside or out and I am a big Quarry fan but he was not close to Marciano

I think Rocky hit harder with one punch. Rocky had more one punch knockouts. Frazier had the faster hands and sharper punches.

Ali himself said Marciano was better than Frazier...take a look

You should know better then that. Ali never liked Frazier but he did say that Frazier was the Greatest beside himself after their 3rd bout. If Frazier fought the same boxers as Rocky did, he too would of had a great KO percentage like Rocky, he might even had a better one.

Very tough fight for both ATG Heavyweights but Marciano was in the ring with cuties and he prevailed no Ali mind you but Marciano was better than Frazier because he was a 2 fisted puncher...This fight would not be easy but like Frazier said"Ali could not rope a dope Marciano, Rocky would have busted his arms"...Ali would have to fight every second and Rocky was a Rhytym breaker. Close fight but I see Marciano closing strong, could be a UD or a late stop in favor of Marciano but after a series of 5 fights both these men would be toast

Not so sure Frazier gets past a pinpoint puncher like Walcott or Ezzard Charles, Frazier had only 26 fights going into the FOTC and swarmers are not known for Longevity and after FOTC, Frazier did not quite stay with his spartan lifestyle...To marciano's credit he did but I will go one further, Joe Frazier said Only Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano were better than him.

Frazier,Ali and Larry Holmes said Marciano would be a tough nut to beat and sometimes it takes a dog to reconise the Alpha Dog

Exactly. Ali would need to be in nothing less than peak form to survive what Marciano would bring.

I've seen that tape many times. Ali was just being nice to the Marciano family and he didn't want to give Frazier the credit he deserved. Later on, after there 3rd bout, Ali stated that Frazier was the Greatest besides himself.

I still think that Frazier hit as hard if not harder then Rocky. Do you really think 38 year old Jersey Joe Walcott would have gone 13 rounds against Frazier?

I think Ali wins on points 2 out of 3 fights. Marciano beats him on points once, probably the middle fight.

Marciano had a better defense and more of a rhytym breaking style and better one punch power. Nat Fleicher did not rate Ali as top 10 heavyweight and Frazier was not either. I knew Nat, nice guy but he did not think highly of Ali and did not think Frazier was an ATG but rated Marciano # 10 but rated Johnson,Fitsimons,Corbett,Schmeling,Tunney higher and only rated Louis 6

Funny but boxing people sometimes because they are called experts have the most outlandish opinions but a lot of them are biased and there opinions are just as good as the next guy but no better.

I agree with that. Nat liked the old-timers and never would rate a young heavyweight like Ali because his career was far from over and if he lost, Nat would look foolish. He died in 1972, so both their careers were still going.

Sounds like you have a little Sigmund Frued in you. You are guessing H.H. How would you know Ali was being nice to the Marciano family, since when did Ali care about families, was he nice to the Frazier family. Ali was alway high on Marciano because of Marciano's style and a fighter reconises subtle strengths. Frazier said Marciano was # 2 ATG after Louis and those were his idols, was he also trying to be nice to the Marciano family....who was the MARCIANO FAMILY, SOUNDS LIKE A CRIME FAMILY

Walcott would have given Frazier all he could handle. Bonavena floored frazier 2x and nearly finished him off. Walcott hit harder than bonavena and was a better boxer. I like frazier over Walcott due to stylistic reasons, but this is by no means a walk in the park. Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano had to go through hell to get to Walcott. Frazier would too.

Walcott may have been 38, but check out what he was capable of doing at age 38. This is a prime Ezzard Charles he did this too to. Walcott was heavyweight champ at 38.

As you most likely know, I know Rocky's brother Lou very well and I also have talked to Frazier many times. Frazier never would give Ali credit, he hates him. When they had the unveiling of the Rocky Marciano Stamp in 1999, the Marciano family asked me to be the Master of Ceremonies.

I like Rocky, and if I thought he could beat Frazier or Ali I would say so, BUT I have to be honest.

Even Frazier would have to envy that hook, and how many times do you see a true one punch pinpont KO

When Frazier fought Oscar that was his 12th Pro bout, Rocky was boxing 3-4 Gilley Ferron. What do you think would have happened if Rocky was boxing Oscar instead of Ferron at that time.
