ok dont get me wrong margarito is an animal he took some really hard shots and it was just a matter of time before the fight was stopped.He's very tough but he lacks serious boxing skill and moseley exposed that tonight and made him look very one dimensional.When he destroyed cotto he fought in a style cotto had never really fought and made him fight a fight that cotto didnt want to and that couldve been the result of cotto's refusal to watch fight tape.sugar shane on the other hand studied his opponent very well and executed the game plan,moseley has also been in much tougher fights than cotto and his speed was just too much for margarito and now people are gonna look at him the same way they look at pavlik.ONE DIMENSIONAL
No he wasn't exposed... everybody knew his limitations it's just that he was overrated by his fans a little too much.
Since I've already done so on three separate occasions, I'm not going to explain yet again why this was not an "exposure". However, it was not an exposure.
maybe it wasn't an exposure but it was definetly shown that he lacks serious boxing skills and in my oppinion can be beat by fighters who know how to deal with his pressure by fighting in the pocket but at the same time not running away
I wouldn't say Marg got exposed in the fight...that word gets thrown around here too often. He was known as being the "most feared" man in the sport a couple of years ago and has a win over Cotto who was highly touted by the writers and people on this board before he lost last year. Yeah, Margarito was made to look silly tonight, but it was at the hands of "sugar" Shane, not some cream puff who took a wrong turn, stumbled into the dressing room, was given a pair of gloves and told to go out there.
Nothing has been exposed other than your lack of knowledge of boxing. Mosley did what he had to do to win, he out boxed Margarito. As it happens Mosley tried a body attack and it worked just like it says in the textbooks. First you beat the fight out of a man then you knock him out. Head hunting Margarito doesn't work because his chin is too strong, but not every man who has a cast iron jaw also has a cast iron body. Mosley came with a great strategy and Margarito fought and lost like the champion that he is.
