Actually arsehole, the WBA title never belonged to Mayweather. It should have, if Baldomir had paid the sanctioning fee, but he didn't. So dont insult people when you clearly dont know so much yourself.

The WBA never had been in Floyd hands, so no you are wrong, the IBF joke yes that one belonged to Floyd.

Wow, what a ignorant exlanation, if you don't have it, then is not yours. Never was a Baldomir title because was vacated, so never was a Floyd title.

Mayweather hasn't called out a non titlist in a title fight ever !!

He won't call out Berto ... he hasn't called out anyone since moving up to the WW division ... last fighter he called out was Arturo Gatti ... a fighter who had been ducking him for years.

It makes no sense for this fight not to be a unification bout ... but just the fact that he won that strap, gives him more clout.

I would vacate that IBF strap as well ... he already fought Clottey and it was a tough fight ... add to that he's not going to make much money for defending that title against Clottey who's a relative unknown.

The last time Margarito fought a mandatory he lost. He'd lose to a healthy Clottey as an injured almost pulled it off...

This is a great fight without titles. It's good that Cotto's WBA will be at stake, but it's still great without any sanctioning fees to pay...

    **** santioning bodies.

    They are meaningless.

This fight is important because both fighters are popular and because one in the #1 contender and the other is Top5.

lol, as if. m8 have you ever seen floyd with that WBA strap??? no. it was never up for grabs, he never one it individually or in a unification. he wont the IBF and the WBC. NEVER WBA!!!! i dont care if judah had all 3, baldomir only won the WBC and even fought gatti 1st. you cant say he had the belts but they were ****in invisible! it was their choice not to pay sanctioning fees and im pretty confident there was antother WBA champ or fight lined up 4 that WBA belt at the time. so he only has ever won the WBC titles in 5 diff weight classes and the IBF (which was a joke) against judah. FACT m8, u'll never see a WBA belt at this moment in time in floyds display cabinet or round his waist.

the IBF is stripping him, not Arum.

this is all besides the point. . . the more fans pay attention to great matchups like this and ignore the belts the better off the sport will be.

I could care less if Cotto and AM were stripped of all these bogus belts. Its still the best fight that can be made at WW since Fraud has no interest in removing that tail from between his legs.

You with your big mouth totally missed the point. This is one of the problem of having too many organizations. Everybody knows who the top 5 or 6 welterweights are. But Sometimes the organizations have some krazy ranking orders. What can be a betters mandatory for Margarito than fighting Cotto. Not only one of the top 3 WW but a fight every fan wants to see. My point is the winner deserve to keep both belts

That is so ****ing easy!!!!! If Floyd Mayweather believes that is his title, I THINK HE KNOWS WHAT TO DO IF HE REALLY WANT IT!!!!!!!!
