Well.......Mario D´Agata, italian, bantamweight world champion (1956)...... Seemed like a good fighter..... Had a good record, good wins....... Stopped only once in 68 fights, against Becerra, just because D´Agata´s manager stopped the fight...... Anyone ever see him fight ??????? Any info ?????? :bbb
I read where he was a deaf-mute. Also when he lost his championship to Halimi he recieved burns to the back from the overhead ring lights malfunctioning and exploding. I have read the story on this fight and thought to myself under such bizarre circumstances that they should have ruled the bout a NC rather than letting it continue thus allowing D'Agata to retain his title.
I have a few of his fights. Its been a while since I watched them. Ill take a look and give my impressions.
