Anyone have any reccollections of ol' Marion?

God damned ugly fighter to watch, but I've always liked him.

He was called The Indestructable Journeyman on here once, and I can't think of a better name for him. Definitely one of the most durable fighters I've ever seen.

Had a new trainer for the Mercer fight and he actually dominated Mercer, and was robbed by the judges, much to the disgust of the commentators.

Anything come to mind that you remember of Wilson?

I know that Wilson was quite a survivor. I think his record of being rarely knocked out was due more to his defensive tactics than to his durability.

Guys like Wilson are attractive opponents to up-and-coming heavyweights because of the prestige associated with knocking him out. If a hot prospect succeeds in stopping Wilson inside the distance, that is regarded as a mark of distinction. Beating Wilson was no big deal...but stopping him was big news.

Wilson was stopped once even though he lost several dozen times.

    On cuts.
