This is a keep-busy fight before some of the more established domestic opponents face Bellew next year. He's said as much on here. Patience is a virtue, my friend. Next year will be a very big year for Bellew and I'm looking forward to it:good.
I hope so. I would have been more impressed if we got another chance to see someone shutting McIntosh's mouth up. Instead Warren feeds us another clown.
Warren is the key figure to consider here. He knows that he can build the fight between Bellew and Cleverly if he gives it a little more time and knows he can make more cash if he puts considerable hype into it as well. Bellew is more than ready for the step-up, IMO, but we just have to be realistic and patient at the moment as he's at Warren's mercy.
I doubt he'll get stopped in the first round if he's done 8 with Valeri Brudov, a hard punching cruiserweight.
It's a keep 'busy' fight. Bellow fought a pretty decent opponent last time out, frankly they're building him up at the right level, 2010 will be a great year for Tony.
Let's hope they show it. At least the opponent seems durable. They coulda just given him someone to 'smash' in the first round, at least this guy will make Bellew work. Bellew will destroy McIntosh in an exciting fight (if McIntosh can stay in there long enough to throw his wild bombs ). About three or four rounds it'll go I reckon.

il explain the point in this fight if your not intelligent enough to get it. bellew is a big puncher and so far in his short pro career he is still yet to go past 4 rounds. you call this fella a muppet, but bellews last opponent had a good record 16 wins 15 k.o.s, and he destroyed him in 90 seconds. this opponent who he faces mightnt have the best record on paper but 1 things for sure he is very durable., he has fought at heavyweight on a few occasions and has not been stopped, he has only ever been k.o.d once in his life very early on in his career. he hasnt been stopped in 5 years. no ones saying this is going to be a 50 50 fight, (could go either way) what it is, is a fight that can hopefully give bellew a full 6 rounds and gain bellew some experience. imo hes not too far from a title shot but 1 thing he lacks is rounds under his belt, i dont see this being a bad fight at all, i would rather see bellew do 6 rounds and learn he wont be able to stop everyone, than him fight some 1 with a decent record and k.o him in a round or 2, just my opinion tho
Agreed - at this stage he needs rounds and someone who can take his best shots and not fold. It's all a learning experience for him still at this stage. Bigger fights sure to come next year...
This isnt as bad of a fight as some make out, Bellew still needs some rounds and this guy is durable and has mixed with some very good competition. Bellew no doubt will win, but he isnt going to blow him away in 90 seconds.
