it appears that Martinez is already doubting the pac bout and switches his tone to cotto... Cotto has outgrew 147 and holds a title at 154 so this may be good. Martinez will KO cotto though IMO. Arum is known to protect his fighters. I wonder if there if he will protect cotto too by saying cotto vs chavez jr?
martinez is to big for cotto who is a small jnr mw imo, i can see cotto chavez selling well due to the whole mexico puerto rico rivalary.
**** let cotto prove himself, i think he can prove everyone wrong, he's an awesome professional. Martinez is probably 1 of the pound for poud best atm but cotto is too experienced at the top for him imo
Arum already had the Chavez/Cotto fight in the work's, so the "protection" theory is out. IMO, It all depends on what's in it for Miguel? Cotto still has more than enough left to give any fighter a run & possibly beat them. But Martinez might be too big, That said Cotto wouldn't back down.
Arum is giving cotto two options. Chavez jr or margarito. Both Top Rank fighters so if one of them lose He can still market them.
