agler would have beat all of them, he used feints far better and far more reguarly, he set up his shots better, he was far more skilled than any of the above, Monzon would give him the most trouble with his sharp combo`s.

I'd pick hime to beat Giardello and Fullmer fairly comfortably, i'd also very very slightly favour him over Monzon but only litrally by 51 to 49.

I think he beats LaMotta and Tiger quite clearly. They'd apply pressure and wouldn't brake, but he wouldn't need to engage them. I think he feeds LaMotta the jab and only stands and bangs sparingly, to appear as though he isn't running. It'd be very tough in the final few rounds, if the Vito fight is to be taken into account. Tiger was more textbook than LaMotta and he wouldn't let the early rounds go. He'd be on Hagler from the start, and Hagler would be wise to box, as apposed to a macho contest. I think he would though, and Tiger didn't really like movers. They don't get much better than Hagler.

I think Fullmer - while clearly worse than both of the above - gives Hagler a harder fight. If Hagler fights like he did vs Vito, Fullmer can absolutely win. That frantic pressure and lack of room he'd give Hagler could be detrimental. I can see Fullmer's unorthodoxy and franticness confusing Hagler and making him make some rash decisions. I think he'd actually be better if he fought how he did vs Hearns or Obelmejias. That pressure would put Fullmer on the back-foot and I think Hagler was strong enough to impose himself in a way that I think Fullmer is weak to.

Monzon-Hagler is a fight that can go either way, and I know it's a cliché, but it can be Hagler today and Monzon tomorrow. I tend to think Hagler nicks a close decision, based on being a bit quicker and more active, but if that's all it took to beat Monzon, he wouldn't be talked about today. Picking against Monzon due to something the other fighter did well is so dicey, because Monzon specialised in taking that away. He stripped people's style down and discarded them.

Great post. I think if Hagler and Monzon fought 10 times it would either be 5-5 or 6-4 Hagler and many would be SD's.

There'd obviously be a double KO in there too.

Monzon is the only guy that looks capable of beating Marvin. I've always thought a fight between the two would come down to last couple of rounds, who ever takes them gets the fight.

But if you asked me who I'd want to win between em, no contest.. MMH all the way!

Beats Fullmer and Tiger, probably beat Giardello, might beat Monzon.

Monzon is the only one I'd favour over him.

    I would only favor Monzon

    Fullner would be a 50/50

    Girardelllo loses by points.

I will add that Freddie Steele takes the first fight in a series - And I think Roy Jones Loses

I prefer Hagler to Monzon but I think Monzon beats him.
Hagler beats Tiger, Giardello and Fullmer.
