When not travelling the country testing prospects Scriven can be found in Iraq working for private security firms! He has also worked a a PE teacher and was formerly a PT instructor in the army He also put all his savings into buying a gym which was his dream and lives next to it in a caravan where fellow pros Alex Spitko and Dennis Corpe train I just thought the Brit forum should take a moment to appreciate this great servant of our noble sport

Me too. It was class, he just showed up with no cornerman and banjo'd the guy with a left hook. The game needs guys just like him, they are the lifeblood of the sport
normally jouneyman are way out of shape, but he comes in looking like he's had 10 weeks to train when in reality he has had about 4 days notice lol, great guy and good thread wrimc!!
out of all the articles in the Boxing News Annual this one is the one I enjoyed the most, we get to hear about Khan, Hatton, Haye, Lewis etc all the time but rarely get to hear the story about hard working journeymen!
