Wow i always thought of matthew hall as mid thirties because hes been around so long lol but 29 in four days! still so young can he do anything again? Shouldnt be boxing at middleweight though but last year i thought he beat webb and o sullivan!
I thought he lost to Webb but beat o Sullivan I think you hot the nail on the head when you said he was older,he simply isn't the man he once was.i like him he seems a good honest pro but he can be so inconsistent That loss to roses opponent from Saturday against battering kris carslaw.he is capable but not often enough for me
i was shocked that he was still in his twenties lol i dont think hes ever been the same after the small loss though
He's got the sort of style that takes their toll on fighters quickly, think the losses to Small and Konecky (sp) really took a lot out of him.
The loss to small hurt Hall the most IMO. Still think he is more than a match for the likes of Rosé ,smith, ochieng etc Sould never have fought at middle despite him getting the wrong decision against spike o Sullivan.I thought he was about 32/33 been around for years!!
A fully fit fully focused Matty Hall in the right frame of mind beats Brian Rose. Love watching Hall.
defo mate, at light middle he is dangerous opponent for anyone, cant see the likes of Rose,Smith wanted to fight him though.hopefully im wrong
Enjoyable to watch and I would love to see him fight Rose, but I just don't see that fight happening as it's two careers going in opposite directions. Hall hasn't had a good win in years and Rose is looking to step it up a level. Could possibly be signed if Hall got a win or two under his belt at LM. That said, yeah he's only 29, but he's a very old 29, will stepping down in weight harm his durability at this stage? Very possibly, I see a Rose late stoppage if they do meet.
Yeah i think him and rose would be an interesting match up would like to see it happen but your right its unlikely at this stage, european title shot for rose next should really be what his team are looking at.
he seemed fairly sure about quitting but had put in some decent performances in losing after he looked terrible at the defeat at bowlers good luck to him
