Is leading a poll on sky sports boxing website on which fight would you most like to see. I like the fight think Derry could beat ricky if ricky keeps up the form he's been showing that is.
Nah Love Derry but I think he would struggle with Burns or a Mitchell type. Id rather see him with an international lightweight. I reckon he could drag a few into a brawl.
Look as much as people think Burns has fell he wouldn't lose to Derry Matthews, Derry Matthews would have been KO'd vs Gonzalez and Beltran.
Derry is up there with my favourite fighters but I can't see him beating Burns unfortunately, Burns is definitely a level above.
Both similar fighters but Burns has Derry beat in every department, maybe Derry has the edge in punching power. But I think Derry has paid his dues and deserves the fight alot more then Crolla does.
He might not be able to beat burns but he deserves his shot more then crolla. He's coming off the back of two knockout wins, however i cant see it happening as beltran deserves a rematch and crawford is his mandatory
Nobody knows how good Coyle is, although he boxed Derry's head off for 10 rounds and Woodhouse is well below domestic level. They are no indication of whether a fighter deserves a chance.
Derry lost the second fight quite clearly in my eyes. I agree there needs to be a third however. Neither is world level and there are enough good scraps domestically that I hope they stay at this level for now. Crolla especially doesn't really need to move up and taste defeat at this stage of his career.
most people would agree that neither deserves a shot at burns but if one was to get it i would go with matthews to be more deserving.
