    Max Kellerman.
    A professional.
    He is articulate.
He does his research and knows his boxing.
He is not afraid to tell it like he sees it and is also not afraid to say he is wrong.
    A class act for sure.

kellerman is a good comentator ... i dont see why you would want him to leave hbo.. i mean the man does know what hes talking about.. and larry merchant is the most annoyingest person to listen to in the world .. with that monotone voice and 10 min pauses in between his statements... hes the one who should leave hbo

Kellerman should do like ESPN Friday night fights or something. A huge boxing network like HBO really needs to bring in somebody better to replace merchant. The fact that it seems its going to be Max fuking Kellerman is laughable. Lets all have a laugh at HBO. :tired

What he said in that case made absolutely perfect sense. If Jones regains form and has some impressive wins at the end of his career, it will be MUCH harder to just right off the Tarver and Johnson KOs as being a result of him being completely shot. It will suddenly start to look like Jones just flat out got destroyed by them because they were better than him, NOT because he was completely shot. Had he just retired after the Johnson fight, then eventually those KOs would have been written off, much the same way Ali's losses to Holmes and Berbick were written off because he was shot at that point.
