well mayorga has been saying he wants to go back down to 147 but i dont know that hell make the weight an if he did it would be bad for him.... in the DLH fight he weighed like 172 or 179 i dont remember but it was something around that weight but 147 was mayorgas best weight

It's likely to happen if Margo/Cintron 2 winner is injured or if Arum lets Clottey make due on his mando.

I have a feeling this fight would come after a unification match between Cotto and the winner of Margarito/Cintron. Assuming Cotto beats the winner of that fight, I'd take him by mid round TKO over Mayorga. He'd be draining to get down to 147 and he's seen his best days. Cotto's body attack and accuracy would prove too much.

Box rec is notorious for jumping the gun on fights. But I think this would be a hella entertaining scrap. Of course, Mayorga shits and eats through a sack after this.

I would pay to watch this one at 147 or 154.

    Probably.

But prime for prime, at 147, IMO Mayorga stops him.

At prime and at 147, Miguel didn't have the necessary tools to keep Ricardo off him.

If it became a brawl, which I think it would, I favor Mayorga.

I favor Mayorga. I think the guy is very overrated on how well he can overwhelm an opponent. It will be Cotto's test under fire. I do not favor Mayorga enough that I would be displeased by a Cotto victory, I'd even enjoy it, but it would be an amazing fight nonetheless. Only thing is I can't picture Mayorga at 147 and if Cotto goes up higher in weight I give Mayorga the victory.

I meant underrated in second sentence when I said "overrated."
