Cotto also had very quick and short punches and was back to his defense. Impressed me a lot. Made Mayweather dig down and throw many combinations and adjust to the fight. One thing I love about Mayweather fights is his adjustment to the opponent. I always want to see the adjustments he makes for the different styles that fighters bring. Very exciting fight.
Very enjoyable fight, I have to admit i was surprised Cotto's face wasn't busted up more than it was. Great highlight video, thanks for posting it!
Cotto didnt really land big shots besides jabs, my goodness Floyd was teeing off, Cotto proved that he was a g big time by standing up to that
Was it me or did Floyd look a tad sluggish? Also, when watching the fight live I didn't realize how bad that uppercut hurt cotto in the 12th. Great fight, I would support rematch
. oo this was another jab. Cotto was consistent with his jab. His jab and his tight defense was what made cotto so competitive.
That's because a lot of shots that were counted as landed were blocked on the gloves. In normal circumstances, if those shots would have actually connected we would see Miguel swollen and cut. None of that happened.
Floyd was taking short raspy breaths because Cotto was putting in some good body work. Cottio slowed Floyd down a lot in this fight.
Cotto came to win not just to show up, his fans can be proud. His defense is much improved. Diaz is a hell of a trainer I look for him to start getting more fighters now.
