So the ticks went on sale at 1pm EST today .. I tried to grab two but was denied. Anyone luck out?

It sucks b/c if I scored them flight & hotel from Toronto to Vegas, Thurs - Sun @ the Wynn was only coming out to $900 p/p

    Tough break

I tried to get some also the minute they went on sale and was denied. The rep said they sold completely out in 3 minutes. I don't think GB released but a couple thousand to the public. Even worse than the de La hoya fight. It's all about the sponsorship money for them and thats who they likely gave the tickets to. Vey dissappointed in GB. Don't think I will ever go to one of their events again. Goosen-Tutor was much more fan friendly when I got tickets from them. I was able to get them by directly calling their phone number before Ticketmaster even sold them.

I didn't understand how the ticket allocation worked.

It is estimated that of a 15,150 capacity for the event Hatton and Mayweather will each get 3,900 tickets and Golden Boy Promotions will be allocated 2,350 with a third being allocated to the MGM Grand for hotel guests and "high rollers" that will come into Vegas for the event.

So GBP gets 2,350 for their preferred customers, sponsors and celebrities and whatnot. MGM gets about 5,000 for their high rollers and big spenders. 3,900 apiece were supposed to be allocated for Mayweather and Hatton fans.

What about ticketmaster? How is ticketmaster supposed to know whom the buyer is rooting for?

As you said, Golden Snaggle Tooth Promotions probably gave more than just 2,350 to their preferred customers.

I was on the phone on hold for an hour. I got on the phone at 9:25am Once I finally spoke with a ticket master agent at 10:30 am these ****ing assholes tell me the fight was sold at 10:00 am. I'm ****ing pissed! I took off from work today just so I could be on the phone to get these goddamn tickets and then they tell me this bull****. I guarantee half the tickets were bought by some **** ass ticket brokers who then turned around and sold the tickets to their Friends and cheesy Hollywood movie stars and celebrities who really don't give a damn about boxing. The real hardcore boxing fans like myself are shut out. **** this ****!

I'm dissapointed, but not really surprised.

Boxing has a way of screwing over its fans in one way or another, time after time.

Even when we get something good, we get something bad as well.

It'll probably end up on stubhub with ridiculous prices.

I was amongst 30 people on the Hatton forum to be drawn out of the Hat via the UK Ballot.

I am one of the lucky ones but it looks like it has been a complete balls up.

Was ticketmaster.com the only place American fight fans could purchase tickets?

Most of the Ticketmaster tickets will be with the brokers now. You could only buy 2 tickets per person but you could buy 50 tickets pp as in the 'packages' section.
