    - If Cortez has told the fighters to box, neither Mayweather nor Cortez are at fault
    - If Cortez had forgotten to do so, Cortez is incompetent and Mayweather should be disqualified
Personally, I was under the impression that Cortez never told the fighters clearly to resume the fight, but other posters say he did

Floyd is familiar with Cortez's senility, Ortiz was looking for a clear signal instead of fighting.

It was a shitty thing to do but it's a ****ing fight, not a friend making competition. Floyd retaliated to a blatant foul within the rules...unsavory, yes, but within the rules.

If that's true then Ortiz is the stupid one. I did not heard it live.
Cortez was not looking at the fighters and seemed to be preoccupied about something else

cortes clearly waves both fighters in ... he then looked over to the time keeper to resume the clock and boom down goes victor ... they were instructed to fight .... fair game

Again the question is...what is Cortez doing when the cheap shots are landed? He isn't looking at either fighter...why not?...

That depends how you define "fair and square". If you mean he respected the rules, your right. But in my opinion, it wasn't "fair", because Mayweather motioned to Ortiz to come to him, then he hit him when he knew Ortiz would not be defending himself. It was legal, but it wasn't fair, IMO.

It wasnt on the break, Cortez said "lets go" then looks for the judge and says "time in". Ortiz KO'd.

Watched the video, after deducting a point he clearly calls them to fight, which is why he gets out the way, after that the action is LIVE, cortez not paying attention has nothing to do with ortiz or mayweather, the fight is LIVE.
