After Pac, who is there left at Welter that even stands a chance with him?

Certainly not Berto, Margarito, Clottey or Cotto. So he can either retire, move up or fight meaningless fights against guys with big followings ... is there any left?

I think if he puts the weight on he beats Martinez.

My point exactly PBF would find a way to get to him.

Floyd doesn't even seem to care about titles, they could easily make it a catch weight.

Is this really that interesting? I suppose it would look great on Mayweather's record to win the middleweight title but as a fight I'm not sure.

If you think somebody is going to outslick and outmaneouvre Floyd Mayweather you're living on another planet and it wouldn't be especially compelling to watch either.

Manny Pacquiao will make the fight if it happens. Sure he'll get hit a lot but he'll come and come and come and give Mayweather a lot to think about too.

Garcia looks good on Armstrongs record.

I'd rather see Mayweather-Pac but if the 2 sides start ****ing about again then Martinez is a decent alternative.

True, there aren't too many amazing options after Pacquiao, so this would be up there.

I suppose it could be interesting on a purist level, it wouldn't raise my heartbeat though as a styles clash.

Not a lot of options at all.....maybe Berto or Williams?? Other than that there are no other realistic bouts I can think of.

Berto's a bit poo compared to these guys. He didn't conclusively prove he's better than a Collazo and Shane handled that guy so theres a pretty clear form line he's not up to be matched with the top dogs.

Williams would be more interesting but why would he fight him when Martinez has all the marbles? :think

Berto's over rated in a massive way (looked terrible last time out) but the fact he's unbeaten might help both camps sell the fight.

Mayweather has used the 'he's been beaten' excuse in the past, maybe its wishful thinking on my part but the fact Williams recently beat Martinez, maybe he'd seek out that challenge instead. Couldn't blame Floyd for wanting to fight against Martinez and the belts tho.

What would do more for his legacy....

    Beat Williams at Welter or

beating Martinez and winning belts at a new weight???

On paper right now Martinez would look better simply because he's middleweight champ and Mayweather could add that notch to his CV. Williams did not really prove he was better than Martinez head to head.

My own feeling is Williams would give a better fight because he doesn't think as much, he's a fairly instinctive fighter that has awkwardness and volume. I don't think anybody trying to play a chess match is going to beat Mayweather unless they're Chad Dawson.
