I just wanted to ask who you guys (or lesbians) think would have the advantage due to their respective activity if mayweather and manny fought this year say in november ?

mayweather hasnt stepped i the ring for a while does this mean he will have the advantage of being fresh and taken no punishment? or suffer from "ring rust" i know his fitness is amazing but how sharp will his skills be?

pacquiao has been pretty active for a while now 2 fights a year on average will this give him the advantage of being sharp? highly fit and basically in consistent form? or the downside being worn out from training and constant 10-12 round fights at the pace he goes?

I know everyone hates yet another may pac thread I was just wondering what peoples thoughts are I mean surely the best situation would be mayweather fights in may-june then pac in november then there are no excuses pacquiao gets rest after mosely and mayweather gets the so called tune up.

I did read mayweather say he only fights once a year its like the superbowl everyone waits till it comes round, I guess he is taking minimum risks for high gains

Didn't you know that the older Mayweather is waiting around getting rusty for Pacquiao to get old

I like mayweather I dont doubt his talent but I agree its like he is waiting for the right moment to take the fight or someone to beat him so he doesnt have to.

I guess this is all pointless I mean how can this fight possibly happen neither TR or GB want to lose their best fighters rep, drug tests, both fighters in different points of activity, law suits ect

damn I miss fighters like duran and nigel benn who didnt give a ****

montero what signs do you think pacquiao is showing its taking its toll? i guess i can only class myself as arm chair fan so i havent noticed anything different about him except for he seems to get more injuries during training these days.interesting thoughts though on wear/tear being worse than inactivity

Mayweather is too long, too versatile, has too much foot movement for Pacquiao, even at this stage imo.

If Manny had done what he did to Margo, Cotto, Hatton, Clottey, and they were all counter punchers, or at least one was a counter puncher, I would hail the significant improvements he's made, and whilst he has made big strides, he still cant handle a counter puncher imo, which was born out in his fight with Cotto( in spells), and in his rematch with Marquez, which was not that long ago either.

Had trouble cutting off the ring against Cotto who isn't even great at fighting backwards.

    mayweather will be more inactive.

I don't care what you ***s say, being a gymrat is different than training for a fight.

I agree with you, and also Floyd is 34, in his last 2 fights Floyd has exhibit ring rust in the first 3 or 4 rounds. After that he has show his incredible talent. But the older you get, the most difficult is to get in shape and no matter what other people want to say a gym rat is a gym rat, but is not fighting. Mayweather is taking a huge risk by doing that. And he is not waiting to Pac to slow, because he will beat him easily, no matter is the fight is in 1 year or if the bout was 3 years ago. Pac has no opportunity against Money. Flame as you want, but he dont have any single opportunity. The only one is a lucky punch and Floyd has the same too. Haters become so obsessive and so stupid that are always looking to find excuses for money big wins. The Pac fight is not made and right know the excuses are flowing that he is waiting Pac to slow down. Mayweather is a human being as Pac is and we are, and there is no human being that is free to time and age, but haters thinks that Floyd sleep in a freezer and that he will never be old. He is older than Pac, he is not as active as Pac, but he is also much much much talented. Floyd wins hands down, Pac a great fighter and a hall of famer also. But the original question answered: is worst for Floyd period.

Agreed. If you're a gym rat like the Klitschkos and stay active then that's great, but just being a gym rat and fighting at a Floyd rate is going to catch up eventually.

You guys should worry about his punch resistance and legs. seems weird after that second mosley fight but I really believe it will have a impact all those long lay offs at his age. might end bad for the guy.

with a bit of luck they will both knock each other out, im not a huge fan of either of them.

Manny has been fighting without a rest so yer he will be fresh and used to it, Mayweather is ****ed lol he has been out so long now he will be slower and alot softer than he used to be
