Mayweather - Pacquiao Predictions

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Indio-Bandido, Jul 22, 2010.

1. If they ever do get it on, who do u think will win? Floyd has a good chance of beating him if he can box over 12 rounds. However, I don't think that will happen and Manny will probably take him out early in the fight. I dont think it will go more than 3 rounds. Manny Pacquiao by devasting knockout... I'll be rooting for Floyd though.

Floyd gives emmanuel a one sided beating and stops him in the final rounds similar to Hopkins-Trinidad.

Pac's offense and angles will make Floyd overly defensive and Pac beats him about 8-4 in a close contest kind of like Calzaghe vs Hopkins.

This would be a boring fight because mayweather would not take any chances against pacquiao he would just neutralise his offense and box clever to win a fairly wide ud.

10. I don't think so. Manny has a granite chin. If Cotto couldn't hurt him, there's no way in hell Mayweather is going to do it.

The jab will be a key punch for Floyd in this fight. He'll use it to make an opening for his right hand with the classic 1-2. It'll be his measuring tape to gauge the distance to get in his other power shots like the left hook and right hand. Morales was able to control emmanuel with the jab. Floyd has show cased that he has great jab in his last two fights.

Pay attention to the bodyshots Floyd will be landing on manny. Marquez wasn't ever able to miss with left hooks and shovel hooks to emmanuel's body, and Morales had great success with his straight right to the body. Floyd was landing those punches all night on his good, southpaw friend Zab Judah. emmanuel will lose the steam and mustard in his punches by the latter half of the fight from the sustained body attack.

emmanuel is prone to bleeding with his fragile, asian skin. Floyd can make someone bleed at will if they have fragile skin with his slashing punches. All it took was one combo from Floyd to open that cut above Hatton's eye. He landed a right hand, left hook, right hand, and another right hand.

Floyd will want to start a little earlier than usual like he did in his Oscar fight. Floyd's style usually leaves him vulnerable in the first 2 rounds when he's still doing reconnaissance. $'s right hand will land with little effort, so he'll want hurt emmanuel early with it. He has to force emmanuel into thinking this fight will come down to a decision.

manny will look lost as Floyd cuts down his punch output. Marquez was able to make manny average 50 a round with his counters.

Anyways, Floyd stops him. That jab, right hand, and left hook to the body are the most important punches for this fight.

Manny comes out to meet floyd, floyd starts to retreat, if floyd backs up an inch further, he'll end up in the ringside seats.

1. They fight in 2011. March-July November won't be Pacquiao's last fight. Mayweather is not fighting again in 2010.
2. Pacquiao will be coming off an easy win over Antonio Margarito. At 150.
I doubt Mayweather will have fought since. Andre Breto is the most likely opponent. If he dose. Also an easy win.
3. Mayweather wins a one sided affair with the real possibility of a late stoppage.
Mayweather will keep his distance in the early going. Till he figures Pacquiao out. Pacquiao doesn't have the reach to do to Mayweather what Mosley did in the second round. Mayweather is also fast enough and smart enough to stay away. From the fourth round on Mayweather is going to land those straightright left combos at will. Any advantage that Pacquiao may have as a southpaw are going to disappear.
Mayweather TKO 11 Score after 10 rounds 8-2 Mayweather.
