ANyone know if Floyd is putting his own fighters through the tests he wants? Vargas? Curious, but seems like a no brainer he would. Thanks! :thumbsup

No. He asked for these tests because he believes Pacquiao is on steroids. He can't just come out and say that though because Pacquiao is suing him.

Also I will point out I believe Ward said that for testing Mayweather does it is like $100K.

Vargas got a career high pay day of $100K in his last fight so where would that money come from.

Even Ward was saying he couldn't afford the tests and was hoping for help.

It doesn't matter anyway, it's a red herring. Strongly believing that a guy is on steroids is a good enough reason to insist on stringent drug teasing.

See there's a problem with this. Boxers are already getting tested in the sports ( NSAC TESTING PROTOCOL ). Boxers who cheat actually get caught. Mayweather is just trying to single out Pacquiao who just happens to be the p4p #1. What about the rest of the fighters? The ones who are not fighting Floyd. They are not getting tested the way Mayweather wants to test Pacquiao just because he believes Pac is on roids. Remember Pac is getting tested whenever he fights and Pac fights almost twice a year.

I'm sorry, but pro athletes have been getting past the urine only test for decades.

And what is so good about OSDT that Floyd is trying to implement when some athletes actually use roids and don't get detected? What's worse is that What Floyd wants is not even Close to OSDT where he and his opponent only get tested for a few months. The standard OSDT is year round testing.

With that said, What makes Floyd's version of OSDT that he wants to implement against Pac any better than the one NSAC is providing? Floyd's OSDT is actually a watered down version of OSDT that athletes go through.

NSAC rules allow fighters the right to request additional testing. Yes, he is singling Pacquiao out, because he believes Pacquiao is on steroids.

 do I really have to answer that. What's more effective?

    1 single schedule urine test
    or
5-6 RANDOM blood and urine tests that test for more types of drugs

Do you agree with Floyd's belief that Pac is on roids? Coz there really isn't any difference with both fighter's weight climb. Both are pretty close to each other's achievements.

See, obviously you've been keeping tabs with how things are going regarding Floyd's stance in testing. Pac has agreed to cutoff dates but floyd just kept moving the dates even going further to demanding no cutoff dates. Floyd vs Shane testing stopped 18 days prior the fight. Even with that said, Pac and Arum have been very vocal that they have no more problems with the testing.

With that said, What makes OSDT any better than NSAC testing when Floyd could actually be roiding up whenever he's not fighting. Remember he fights once a year. What about those months that Floyd doesn't fight.

I agree. Pac should have just accepted Floyd's demand regarding the cutoff dates but the fact that Floyd kept making it more difficult makes me wonder what his real motives are regarding his testing demands.
