Why does everyone talk **** about Mayweather's punching power when he has 50% k.o ratio?? Is it Bc he hasn't knocked anyone out in a long time?

Because he beat their favorite fighter without knocking them out. Thats a tough pill.

Would be 10x worse if he knocked them out LOL. But the way Floyd beats fighters is more annoying than anything. If you've played fight night champion on PS3 or Xbox, Floyd would be the runner everyone loathes. Exploiting a style just to get a Decision win. lol:lol:

I guess it's the same reason that people don't compliment Chris Arreola on his washboard abs.

Floyd was already the top ranked and highest paid fighter in boxing with a guaranteed $200 million contract. He didn't need to knock people out. People like GGG and Thurman need knockouts to make a statement and keep people watching.

GGG is just blowing up now, give him one fight with a big name and we will see about that. Every PPV king starts somewhere.
Nobody was paying attention to Floyd pre-Oscar, and before all the past big name/elites retired or washed up. When Jones, Oscar, Trinidad, Vargas, Morales, Barrera etc were fighting, nobody paid attention to Floyd. But minus all those guys, + fighting Oscar and then oscar retiring opened the door for Floyd. Boxing fans had nobody to watch really for a long time except Floyd or Pac fights. Add in all the social media floyd has had (along with Pac helping) the other past big PPV fighters didn't have, and this is the reason for his success. He's such a boring fighter, his fights are sparring matches at best, but fans have been deprived for a long time once Oscar retired along with the others. But now we have an exciting warrior coming up, giving the fans the fight and shows they want and deserve. Oscar never needed to KO people to get them to watch, in fact he could lose and wouldn't affect his status. Had Floyd have lost, he would have been done, that was the only thing that was the least bit interesting about his fights. People tuned in just to see if someone could beat him, that's how bored they got. lol And I can attest to that.

Mayweather had good power for the weight classes he fought in. He didn't often utilize his full power because earlier in his career he was hurting his hands in nearly every fight. He would have definitely shortened his career if he had continued to throw his full power as he got older.

Floyd would have been a much more impressive fighter had he not been cursed with brittle hands.
