Just seen he won a UD there, I know it was only the WBA belt on the line... My question is, why wasn't Kameda's WBO on the line too?

I read something about the WBO not recognising McDonnell as the true champion as he doesn't hold the "super" , fair enough... However why wasn't McDonnell upgraded to the super champion? Just checked boxrec & it hasn't been contested since September of last year...

God knows but if the WBO have any sense they should let McDonnell fight for their vacant title, really the lad should be IBF and WBO as well as the WBA regular

I know, was shocking what happened with the IBF, too think that Butler & Hall later fought for that!

So yeah should defo be the IBF / WBA & as he's shown tonight - he's beat the WBO boss too! Not bad going tbh !

Ive always enjoyed watching mcdonnall fight he might not be a big star or huge puncher but hes big with a good jab and workrate and he beat a very good fighter tonight. He has a good chin also first time down ever tonight i think? It was a hellava shot too surprised he brushed it off so easy it looked a heavy kd

Top fighter. WBA champ, never lost the IBF title and just beat the WBO champ.

Yeh . Agree with all the posts above, thought the issue with Kameda vacating the WBO was cos they never allowed a unification & didn't recognise Jamie as the outright champion - I'm at a loss as to why McDonnell has not been upgraded to they're "super" champion status however, considering it's not been contested in best part a year.

Totally right also about the IBF , to be stripped in the way he was is shameful - that belt is now with Vacant with Haskins fighting for it.... McDonnell must feel very hard done by..

Disgrace that we have to watch Joshua at 1/100 on fighting a Brazilian homeless hippy when a cracking fight was in progress.

Well done Jamie and shame on Sky for not showing this fight live.

P-ish per View last week and Joshua p-ish this week :patsch

Cracking fight had £20 on Jamie 5/2. And £5 on points 4/1

Hope Mcdonnel goes on to unify
