Jesus christ that is a joke, McDonnell 's last opponent was **** but this is even worse.

Do Sky even have a quility control in place ****ing hell. Seriously what's the point, this guy has not beaten anyone above low level novice level and when he did step up he lost to Lukin.

Sky and FTM sort this out because this is an absolute joke.

I see he has just secured his first victory over someone with a winning record (9-7-2).
That great performance deservedly earned him a crack at the Euro belt.

This is the sort of shite that turned the Commonwealth into a joke.

Sky and EBU should reject this. I know Bantamweight is lacking in depth in Europe but there must be at least a dozen better contenders out there.

If money is an issue then how about Josh Wale, good fighter and I'm sure he wouldn't be too expensive.

Maybe but they still have 4 and a half weeks till the fight. Like I said I'm sure they could get in a better opponent, Big Frank managed to bring in Nadjib Mohamedi on 24 hours notice so I am sure Little Frank could bring in someone at least half decent.

Well Smith was giving it large in that Boxing Monthly interview about Sky wanting 50/50 or 60/40 fights and rejecting the dross...so let's see if he backs up his words and they do refuse it.

As long as it is not Ian Napa I do not mind who he fights.

Why will sky complain on that night Maloney is offering up a European title fight and also a British title fight regardless of the opposition

But you've got to get guys to give up their Xmas for a far lower payday than you can offer for a Cleverly fight in a big arena.

I don't mind a hit in terms of quality when you have two titles fights, I have no problem with the Sykes-Kays in fact I think that is a decent come back fight but Pitteloud is clearly **** poor and it makes a mockery of the European Title.

Like I said earlier I'm sure they could have gotten Josh Wale, Craig Lyon, Gary Davies all would have been better and I am certain they could find someone better from Europe.

I know the pay isn't great and asking a guy to give up his Christmas is a big ask but I am sure that somebody would step up for a shot at the European Title and a potential World Ranking.

Simply put I highly doubt that Pitteloud was the only one that stepped up.

And as I was saying...the EBU has turned into a circus trinket. I was shouted down by one particular member too.

I didn't say that pitteloud was a good opponent just said sky will be as they have two title fights

I agree that they could have asked wale as he has not fought since September

Could have also asked napa and Gary Davies domestically all three better than pitteloud

Don't think Lyon would have took the fight at short notice

Hoping mcdonell wins this so we can see Stuart hall vs Jamie mcdonell
