After being absolutely, completely totally written off as cannon fodder, especially by the disrespectful Boxing News preview, what an effort Ovil Mckenzie put up tonight!

Eleven days notice for the fight, four days to acclimatize to Argentina, the bloke went in there and made Ramirez look like a tough man competitor at times. Answered all questions about his stamina by hammering Ramirez in the last round too.

Credit to the Pea**** gym who have honed Ovil into a real threat against anyone, and surely the best in the UK at Cruiserweight.

Haven't seen the fight but alot of people online are saying he nicked it, I hope they can manage to get a rematch over here.

Although we could see Hearn try and bring him in on a matchroom show for Bellew I imagine.

He fought great Terry. If his promoter has anything about him Ovil will get an immediate rematch. Bellew wouldn't go to Argentina for his chance against Ramirez, Ovil did and should be rewarded.

Never watched it but if the judges across there scored it a draw - Ovil must have been a clear winner

Ovill was great. He took some nasty looking shots too. Very strange to see Ovill on the move so much!

Won't be an immediate rematch. Bellew is supposed to get a crack at Ramirez in December.

Nah, most fans had it somewhere in the neighborhood of a draw or 7-5 to Ovill.

Not seen it myself yet, but my mate said Ovil won it.
Fair play to him 11 days notice, going out there an performing so well, hope he gets the rematch.
However again stress not seen it myself but, judging by what I hard an above comments, great performance and he deserves a rematch.
    Well done Ovil

I hope not, I'm a Bellew fan, but by the sounds of it Ovil deserves the rematch

The number one contender spot is vacant with the IBF. Ovil should be put there if there's any justice at all with the IBF. Forget Bellew. He hadn't the nerve to fight Ramirez in Argentina, why should he get the fight in England now after McKenzie showed how beatable Ramirez is?

I suspect that Ovil will be installed as No.1 contender by the IBF and then will be offered stand aside money to face the winner of Bellew/Ramirez. Whether or not Bellew/Ramirez would actually happen would be another matter.
